The Players

This is me.  I'm a 40 year old, single, motorcycle riding momma of a furry, four-legged boy named Subaka.  I shoot pool 2 nights a week with the APA and enjoy cooking, crafting, exercise and fitness, collecting, and african violets.   I'm not independently wealthy so I do have to work but I dream of wealth and play the lottery when it gets up into the millions (I mean, who doesn't?).  If I had a million dollars (well, a million doesn't go far these days but if I had a few...) I would travel on my motorcycle and take in the world.  There is a lot of beauty in the world to see out there.  I just hope one day to get to see more of it!  By the way, this isn't my motorcycle.  This is one that I rented when I flew to Florida for a long weekend in Key West with my best friend, Anne Marie.  I own a silver and blue HD Fatboy.

Subaka is a curious little pup.  He loves squirrels, cats, and basically anything that moves.  His mother was a rat terrier and we think his father was a beagel sheppard mix.  This makes him hyper, curious, strong, and really smart.   I mean, just look at that intense stare at the squirrel that was probably just off the deck!  He is a very hyper dog but I know that is partially my fault.  I am not as strict with him as I probably should be and I know we don't get out to exercise enough!

Here's a picture of my house from about 10 years ago (right after I moved in).  The flagpole is gone and the rhododendrons in the front are much bigger but other than that, it still looks the same.  The 1880 census had a house listed at it's location.  We're not sure if it's physically the same structure, but I think it might be.  The basement walls are stacked iron ore stone and the porch additions are made of brick that was made in the 1920's.

  2. Shalee - Thanks for visiting! The egg wraps are super easy to make (which is why they are a favorite of mine). You'll have to let me know how they turned out.

As far as the house and dog go, I love both but they are both a lot of work! LOL! The house takes a lot of upkeep (something is always broken or in need of repair) and the dog is part terrier so he needs a lot of attention too! As it is though, I wouldn't trade either! Thanks again!
